Since Version 2 you can shut down the Outlook process on the other computer before
the synchronization begins.
The small tool 'RemoteOutlookKiller' should be installed for this purpose on the other computer.

This setting is activated by default. If you unselect this option then only the last modification time of an Outlook item is used to decide what Outlook element is the newer item. Otherwise the content of the Outlook item is examined in detail if both Outlook elements have any differences.
